It was! But when am I ever going to have $20 off ever again? Might as well go for the good stuff, that's what I say! Also, it's DELICIOUS and I'm going to keep the cool new bottles for my next batch of beer.
Just a note, I could have gotten Southern Tier 2XIPA for about $25-30 less.
Good choice! I know it's expensive, but it's wonderful stuff. I'm still finding bombers of the Imperial IPA out here in the $5 range. While it is expensive, I don't think it's out of hand expensive. 2XIPA is a close competitor though and could make a fine case beer for less-moneyed times.
